The LENOX 82657GTB144420 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in industrial and fabrication environments. Measuring 174 inches (14 feet 6 inches) in length and 1-1/4 inches wide with a 0.042-inch body thickness and a 0.0700-inch kerf width, this blade runs on horizontal and vertical band saws sized to accept that blade length. It operates at a variable 2 to 3 TPI pitch, part of the Contestor GT series, and features an M42 high-speed steel tooth material bonded to a spring steel back for extended edge life under high-alloy cutting conditions. Installation is performed by metal fabricators and maintenance machinists.
This blade is suited for cutting a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous stock including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, nickel alloy, titanium, and aluminum. The variable pitch and Vari-Set tooth configuration reduce harmonics and vibration during the cut, making it effective for both solid bar stock and structural sections. The positive rake angle and ground tooth form improve chip evacuation and surface finish on difficult-to-machine materials. It is not designed for contour cutting applications.
Designed for band saws configured to accept a 174-inch (14 feet 6 inches) blade length with a 1-1/4-inch blade width. Suitable for cutting alloy steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, carbon steel, stainless steel, mold steel, nickel alloy, titanium, tool steel, and bearing steel. Not intended for contour cutting.
Blade installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician with the band saw fully powered down and locked out per LOTO procedures before handling. Follow the saw manufacturer's tension and tracking specifications for 1-1/4-inch bi-metal blades. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled blade. Verify wheel diameter and throat capacity are compatible with this blade length before mounting.
