The LENOX 1793099 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding cutting applications in metal fabrication and industrial service environments. The blade measures 15 feet 4 inches in length and 1-1/4 inches in width, with a 0.042-inch body thickness and a kerf width of 0.067 inches. Tooth geometry is variable pitch at 4 to 6 TPI using a Vari-Raker tooth set with a positive rake angle, which reduces vibration and harmonics during the cut. The M42 high-speed steel tooth tips are electron-beam welded to a spring steel back, a construction that defines the Classic Pro series and makes the blade suitable for high-volume production cutting on horizontal and vertical band saws.
This blade is well suited for ferrous and non-ferrous metal cutting in machine shops, metal service centers, pipe fabrication shops, and maintenance environments. The variable pitch tooth form handles interrupted cuts and varying cross-sections without stalling or chattering. It is appropriate for use on production band saws sized to accept a 1-1/4-inch blade width. Blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with band saw machinery. Disengage and lock out all power to the saw before opening the blade guards or removing the old blade. After tensioning, allow the blade to run unloaded for a brief break-in period and re-check tension before beginning production cuts.
