The LENOX 1772366 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in professional shop and field environments. Measuring 15 feet 6 inches in length and 1-1/4 inches wide with a 0.042-inch thickness, this blade fits vertical and horizontal band saws common in fabrication, maintenance, and mechanical service settings. The variable-pitch tooth design runs at 5 to 8 TPI, reducing vibration and noise while improving cut quality across a range of material thicknesses. The M42 high speed steel tooth tips are joined to a spring steel back, delivering both edge retention and fatigue resistance through long production runs. Machinists, pipe fitters, and general fabricators are the primary installers of this blade type.
This blade is suited for cutting a broad range of metals in both production and maintenance-repair-operations (MRO) environments. Compatible materials include alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and titanium. The positive rake angle and Vari-Raker tooth set make it particularly effective on structural sections, solid bar stock, and bundled tubing where consistent chip evacuation is critical. It is a straight contour-cutting blade and is not intended for radius or contour cuts.
Designed as a replacement or production-stock welded bandsaw blade for horizontal and vertical metal-cutting band saws that accept a 1-1/4-inch wide blade in the 15-foot 6-inch loop length.
Band saw blade replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician with the saw fully de-energized and locked out per applicable LOTO procedures. Blade tension and guide settings must be adjusted to the manufacturer specifications for the specific saw model before operation. Always wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or uncoiled bandsaw blades. Inspect blade welds and tooth set before installation and do not run a blade that shows cracks, missing teeth, or weld discontinuities.
