The LEGRIS 4902 25 34 is a standard manual ball valve designed for inline flow control in piping systems. The valve body is constructed from nickel-plated brass, offering corrosion resistance in wet or humid service environments. Both the seat and seal are made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which provides chemical compatibility across a wide range of media and maintains a positive shutoff under normal operating pressures. A lever handle allows for quick quarter-turn open and close operation. The 1-inch female BSPP port configuration on both ends makes it a straightforward threaded connection for compatible piping. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers for this type of valve in commercial and industrial applications.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC hydronic lines, compressed air systems, and general fluid service where a reliable manual shutoff is required. The FBSPP x FBSPP end connection is commonly used in metric and international piping systems. At 4.75 inches in length and 1.08 pounds, it fits in standard inline positions without excessive weight or bulk. The lever handle design allows for fast visual confirmation of valve position, which is useful in maintenance and service scenarios.
Designed for use in 1-inch female BSPP threaded piping systems. Suitable for general fluid service, hydronic heating, compressed air, and light industrial applications where BSPP end connections are specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing any existing valve or making new connections. BSPP threads require appropriate thread sealant or tape rated for the intended media. Verify flow direction and pressure rating of the system before placing the valve into service.
