The LEGRIS 3166 55 08 is a push-to-connect plug-in reducer tube fitting designed for pneumatic and fluid-transfer tubing systems. It accepts 3/16 inch outside diameter tubing and provides a tool-free, push-in connection that seals reliably without additional hardware. The body is constructed from glass-reinforced nylon, which resists pressure up to 260 psi and holds a vacuum rating of 28 inches of mercury (in-Hg). The nitrile O-ring provides a consistent seal across a range of fluids and gases compatible with Buna-N elastomers. This fitting is installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial service professionals working with small-diameter pneumatic or control tubing.
This reducer fitting is suited for applications where tubing diameters must transition within a run, including pneumatic control lines, low-pressure air circuits, and instrumentation tubing. Its compact profile fits in tight assemblies where metal fittings would add weight or bulk. The glass-reinforced nylon construction makes it appropriate for environments where corrosion resistance is a priority. It is sold individually and is a direct drop-in style fitting for standard 3/16 inch OD tubing systems found in light commercial and residential equipment.
Designed for use with 3/16 inch outside diameter push-to-connect tubing in pneumatic control and fluid-transfer systems. Confirm tubing OD and system pressure before installation.
Depressurize and isolate the tubing circuit completely before removing or installing any push-in fittings. Insert tubing straight and fully to the fitting stop to ensure the collet grips properly and the O-ring seats. To release tubing, depress the collet ring evenly while pulling the tube straight out. Verify that the tubing cut end is clean, square, and free of burrs to prevent leaks at the seal.
