The LEGRAND T600-W is a single-pole, non-preset toggle wall dimmer rated for 120 volts and 600 watts of incandescent load. It is designed for residential lighting control applications and installs in standard single-gang wall boxes. The thermoplastic housing is impact-resistant and engineered for superior heat management, keeping the device within safe operating temperatures under sustained load. The T600-W ships without break-off tabs, eliminating a common time-wasting step during rough-in. A screw pressure plate back-wire terminal is included, removing the need for wire nuts on the line and load conductors.
The T600-W is suited for residential applications controlling incandescent fixtures from a single switching point. It operates as a 1-pole device, meaning it controls a circuit from one location only. The toggle-style operator provides a familiar switch feel while delivering smooth dimming. The white thermoplastic finish coordinates with standard decorator and traditional wallplates. This dimmer is appropriate for retrofit and new-construction wiring in homes, apartments, and light commercial spaces where incandescent dimming at 120 volts is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation single-pole wall dimmer for 120-volt residential incandescent lighting circuits. Fits standard single-gang electrical boxes.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements and applicable local codes. Turn off circuit breaker power to the circuit before beginning any wiring work and verify with a non-contact voltage tester before touching conductors. The T600-W is rated for 1-pole operation only and is not suitable for 3-way or multi-location dimming configurations. Confirm that the connected load does not exceed 600 watts of incandescent lighting to prevent overheating.
