The LEGEND VALVE LEGE-112-034NL is a compact water pressure reducing valve (PRV) constructed from lead-free brass with a brass bonnet. It connects via 3/4-inch female NPT (FNPT) inlets on both ends, making it a direct-thread installation for potable water systems. The valve is designed to reduce high municipal or building supply pressure down to a safe, stable working range of 25 to 75 psi, protecting downstream fixtures, appliances, and piping from pressure-related damage. Licensed plumbers install this valve as a code-required or service-upgrade component in residential and light commercial water distribution systems.
This PRV is suited for residential water service entry points, apartment unit risers, and light commercial plumbing where supply pressure exceeds fixture or appliance ratings. The 3/4-inch FNPT connections accommodate standard water service pipe sizing common in residential construction. The compact body design simplifies installation in tight spaces such as utility rooms, crawlspaces, and mechanical closets. It is rated for water temperatures up to 180 degrees F, making it compatible with both cold and hot water supply applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation PRV for residential and light commercial potable water supply systems using 3/4-inch threaded pipe connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the main water supply and relieve system pressure before removing any existing valve or fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to all NPT connections and tighten to a leak-free fit without over-torquing brass fittings. After installation, restore supply pressure gradually and verify the downstream outlet pressure with a gauge before returning the system to service.
