The LEGEND VALVE 457-483 is a 1/2 inch Clearloc push-to-fit test cap designed for temporary sealing of open pipe ends during plumbing system installation and pressure testing. It requires no tools for installation, allowing a plumber to quickly cap off a supply line, verify system integrity, and remove the cap when ready for fixture or valve installation. The Clearloc construction provides a secure, leak-resistant seal without the need for soldering, gluing, or crimping. This fitting is suited for both residential and light commercial plumbing work where speed and reusability are priorities.
This test cap is used to isolate open pipe ends in water supply systems during rough-in, pressure testing, or staged installation. It is compatible with copper, PEX, and CPVC tubing in 1/2 inch diameter. Typical applications include capping supply stubs before toilet, faucet, or valve installation, as well as isolating sections of a system for pressure diagnostics. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on new construction, remodels, or service calls will find this fitting useful for maintaining system pressure without committing to a permanent connection.
Compatible with 1/2 inch copper, PEX, and CPVC tubing. Designed as a tool-free push-to-fit cap fitting for use in residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Installation and removal should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Before installing or removing the cap, shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure. Ensure the pipe end is clean, deburred, and free of debris before inserting it into the push-to-fit fitting to achieve a proper seal. This cap is intended for temporary use during pressure testing or staged installation and should be replaced with a permanent fitting or valve upon project completion.
