The LEGEND VALVE 116-125 is an outside stem and yoke (OS and Y) gate valve designed for full-bore shutoff service in industrial and commercial piping systems. Built with a cast iron body and bolted bonnet, it accepts a 5-inch flanged connection and is rated to 125 pressure class. The solid wedge disc provides reliable, bubble-tight isolation when fully closed. At 143 pounds, this is a heavy-duty valve intended for permanent installation in above-ground or accessible piping where stem travel visibility is required for open/closed status confirmation. Licensed pipefitters and mechanical contractors are the primary installers.
This valve is suited for 5-inch flanged piping systems in commercial HVAC, industrial process, fire protection support lines, and municipal water or utility applications where an OS and Y configuration is specified or required by code. The outside stem design allows visual confirmation of valve position and is commonly required by NFPA and insurance standards in sprinkler system supply and other supervised service lines. The bolted bonnet allows field servicing of internal components without removing the valve body from the line.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation gate valve for 5-inch Class 125 flanged cast iron piping systems in commercial and industrial mechanical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or journeyman plumber in accordance with applicable mechanical codes, including ASME B31.1 or B31.9 as applicable to the service. Isolate and depressurize the line completely before installing or replacing this valve. Flange bolting should follow standard ASME flange bolt pattern and gasket requirements for Class 125 flat-face flanges. Do not use this valve in applications exceeding its rated pressure class or with fluids incompatible with cast iron.
