The LDI INDUSTRIES G324-4 is a vented oil-level sight gauge designed to provide a clear visual indication of oil levels in industrial and mechanical equipment reservoirs. Featuring a straight male thread configuration with a 0.5 inch thread size and a Buna-N seal, this gauge delivers reliable sealing performance in typical petroleum-based and water-based fluid environments. The unit measures 9.5 inches in functional sight length with an overall length of 11.44 inches. It is installed by maintenance technicians and industrial mechanics on gearboxes, hydraulic reservoirs, lubrication systems, and similar equipment where monitoring fluid levels without opening the system is required.
This sight gauge is suited for use in both light industrial and commercial equipment applications where continuous oil-level visibility is needed. The vented design allows pressure equalization within the reservoir, preventing false level readings caused by internal pressure buildup. The straight male thread mount simplifies installation into standard threaded ports on reservoir walls or equipment housings. Typical applications include gearbox assemblies, pump housings, compressor sumps, and lubrication tanks requiring routine fluid level checks during operation or scheduled maintenance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation sight gauge for industrial reservoirs and equipment housings fitted with a standard 0.5 inch threaded port accepting a straight male thread connection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or maintenance technician. Before installing or removing the gauge, shut down the equipment and relieve any pressure in the reservoir to prevent fluid discharge. Use appropriate thread sealant compatible with the system fluid on the male threads before threading the gauge into the reservoir port. Verify the Buna-N seal is seated correctly and inspect for leaks after returning the system to service.
