The LARSEN SUPPLY CO. X-61PNL is a lead-free brass faucet seat designed as a direct replacement for Gerber faucet valves. Faucet seats serve as the sealing surface inside a valve body — a worn or damaged seat causes dripping that cannot be fixed by replacing the stem washer alone. This seat measures 5/8 inch in diameter with a 27/64 inch height and is threaded at 20 threads per inch. Brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability under repeated cycling. It meets all federal and state lead-free laws, making it suitable for potable water systems where lead-free compliance is required by code. Sold in a package of 10 individually bagged seats.
This faucet seat is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications during faucet valve repair. It is the correct replacement when reseating a Gerber-style compression faucet — typically encountered in bathroom and kitchen faucet repair work. Plumbers and service techs install this part when a worn seat cannot be dressed smooth with a seat grinder and must be replaced entirely. The bagged packaging keeps individual seats clean and organized on a service truck.
Designed as a replacement faucet seat for Gerber compression-style faucet valves requiring a 5/8 inch, 20-thread seat.
Faucet seat replacement is typically performed by a licensed plumber during compression faucet repair. Shut off the water supply at the nearest isolation valve and relieve line pressure before disassembling the valve body. Use a seat wrench sized to the seat socket — do not use an oversized tool that can damage the valve body threads. Verify thread count and seat diameter match the valve body before installation to ensure a proper seal.
