The L H Dottie Co TB364DS is a 3/16-inch by 4-inch toggle bolt featuring a square drive slotted head configuration, sold in a 50-piece pack. Toggle bolts are hollow-wall anchors used to fasten fixtures, brackets, electrical boxes, and other hardware to drywall, plaster, and similar hollow substrates where solid backing is not available. The spring-loaded wing nut passes through a drilled hole, expands behind the wall surface, and clamps against the interior face when the bolt is tightened. This size and head style is commonly specified by electricians, plumbers, and general contractors for medium-duty fastening tasks in wall and ceiling applications.
The TB364DS is suited for residential and light commercial installations where a 3/16-inch diameter bolt with 4-inch length provides adequate reach through thicker wall assemblies, furring, or layered finishes. The square slotted head accepts both a flat-blade screwdriver and a square driver bit, giving installers flexibility on the job. Common applications include mounting electrical enclosures, pipe hangers, light fixtures, and duct supports to hollow walls or ceilings where structural backing is absent.
Designed as a standard-pattern hollow-wall toggle bolt for use in drywall, plaster, and similar hollow substrates where the wall or ceiling thickness accommodates a 3/16-inch diameter fastener and 4-inch bolt length.
Toggle bolts are installed by electricians, plumbers, and contractors working under applicable building codes including the NEC and IPC for trade-specific applications. Drill a clean hole sized to allow the collapsed toggle wings to pass through before inserting the bolt. Once the toggle has expanded behind the substrate, do not back the bolt out completely or the toggle will fall loose inside the wall cavity. Verify that the wall substrate and toggle size are appropriate for the intended load before installation.
