The KYOCERA TSJ00010 is a CCGT-style cermet turning insert designed for precision finishing operations on steel workpieces. Manufactured to ANSI and ISO standards and identified by ISO code CCGT060201, this insert features an 80-degree diamond shape with a positive rake geometry and a 7-degree relief angle. The TN60 cermet grade with TiCN and NbC coating classification delivers a combination of wear resistance and edge sharpness suited to light finishing cuts. With two cutting edges and a screw-type holding method, it installs in standard CCGT-compatible toolholders. Licensed machinists, CNC operators, and toolroom technicians are the typical end users.
This insert is intended for external turning, facing, boring, internal facing, and sub-spindle applications on steel. It targets material grades P01, P10, and P20, making it most effective on low-to-medium carbon steels and alloy steels at light to moderate depths of cut. The maximum depth of cut is 0.0833 inches. Its wiper-edge-free geometry and 0.004-inch corner radius support tight tolerances and fine surface finishes in both manual and CNC lathe environments, including live-tooling and sub-spindle configurations.
Designed for use in CCGT-style screw-clamp toolholders conforming to ANSI and ISO standards. Suitable for steel workpieces in material grade classifications P01, P10, and P20. Industry standard number CCGT21502TN60 and ISO code CCGT060201 can be used to cross-reference compatible toolholder systems.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom personnel. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key for the insert clamping screw as specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Inspect the toolholder pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before seating the insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
