The KYOCERA TMK00325 is a CCMT-style indexable turning insert designed for precision metal removal on CNC and manual lathes. Built from CVD-coated carbide with a TiCN/Al2O3/TiN multilayer coating under manufacturer grade CA125P, it delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of cutting conditions. The diamond-shaped insert body carries an 80-degree included angle, a 7-degree relief angle, and a 0.80 mm (1/32 inch) corner radius. With two cutting edges per insert and a positive rake geometry, it is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are the priority. Machinists and CNC programmers in production shops are the primary users.

This insert is intended for external turning, facing, boring, and internal facing operations on carbon steel and alloy steel workpieces. The HQ chip breaker geometry supports chip control during moderate to light depth-of-cut applications. The screw-and-clamp holding method provides secure seating in compatible CCMT toolholders. Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturers specified feel — do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can crack under excessive clamping force. Inspect the toolholder seat and shim for damage or debris before seating a new insert.
