The KYOCERA TLM00050 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC and manual turning operations. Manufactured to the CCGT insert style with an 80-degree diamond shape, it carries the PR1725 grade designation and features MEGACOAT NANO PLUS PVD coating for extended tool life and thermal resistance. The insert has a positive rake angle of 15 degrees and a sharp cutting edge style, making it well suited for finishing and light turning passes on steel and stainless steel workpieces. With a 0.3750-inch inscribed circle and a 0.0079-inch corner radius, this insert delivers tight tolerances in both external and internal turning applications. Installation is by screw-holding method. Licensed machinists and CNC operators handle this insert in production and job shop environments.
The TLM00050 is intended for turning applications on steel and stainless steel workpieces. Rated for material grades P01 through P30 and M01 through M30 per ISO classification, it covers a broad range of steel and austenitic stainless alloys. Suitable operations include external turning, boring, facing, internal facing, and sub-spindle work. The F-style chip breaker promotes controlled chip evacuation during light to medium depth-of-cut passes, with a maximum depth of cut of 0.1250 inches. This insert is commonly used in high-production CNC turning centers where consistent surface finish and dimensional accuracy on steel components are required.
Designed for use in standard CCGT-style screw-on toolholders. ISO code CCGT09T302MF and industry standard number CCGT32505MFPR1725. Compatible with ANSI and ISO standard tooling systems. Suitable for steel and stainless steel workpieces across ISO material grades P01 through P30 and M01 through M30.
This insert is installed and changed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or replacing the insert. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the toolholder specification — do not overtighten. Handle carbide inserts with care to avoid chipping the cutting edge prior to use.
