The KYOCERA TJY18880 is a laydown-style threading insert designed for external UN thread cutting at 24 threads per inch. Built from solid carbide with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, it delivers thermal and abrasion resistance across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert carries the PR1115 manufacturer grade and features a 60-degree included angle standard to Unified National thread forms. With a 9.53 mm inscribed circle and 3.68 mm thickness, it fits toolholders sized for the 16ER insert style. This insert is installed and replaced by CNC machinists and turning center operators in production and job-shop environments.

This insert is suited for external threading operations on lathes and turning centers where UN thread forms are required.
