The KYOCERA TJV00927 is a CNMG432MU indexable turning insert in grade CA6525, designed for precision metal cutting in CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a solid carbide substrate with a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, which provides wear resistance and heat tolerance during continuous and interrupted cuts. The insert has an 80-degree diamond shape with a neutral hand orientation and a 0.0313-inch corner radius. With four usable cutting edges and a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, it delivers consistent performance across multiple cutting passes before indexing. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and index this insert as part of routine tool maintenance.
This insert is engineered primarily for machining stainless steel (ISO material code M) and superalloys (ISO material code S), targeting material grades M20, S20, and S30. The MU chip breaker geometry supports a range of operations including external turning, boring, facing, internal facing, and chamfering. It conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards under ISO code CNMG120408MU and industry standard number CNMG432MUCA6525. It is suited for use in high-production environments where tool life consistency and chip control on difficult-to-machine materials are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style indexable turning insert for CNC lathes and turning centers that accept CNMG432 geometry toolholders with clamp or pin retention, conforming to ANSI and ISO CNMG120408MU specifications.
Installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine powered down and in a safe state before any insert change. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamping hardware specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the insert. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating a new insert. Follow your facility safety procedures and applicable ANSI machining standards when handling carbide inserts, as edges are sharp.
