The KYOCERA TJV00436 is a CCMT-style turning insert engineered for precision metal removal in demanding machining applications. It is manufactured from solid carbide and coated via CVD process with a three-layer TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN stack under the CA6525 manufacturer grade. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape, a 1/4-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/64-inch (0.0156 inch) corner radius. Relief angle is 7 degrees with a positive rake angle of 17 degrees and a honed cutting edge style. The GK chip breaker geometry and neutral hand orientation make it suited for a range of turning operations. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers.
This insert is designed for primary use on stainless steel workpieces (ISO material code M) and secondary use on superalloys (ISO material code S), covering material grades M20, S20, and S30. Typical applications include external turning, boring, facing, internal facing, and chamfering. It conforms to ANSI and ISO standards with an ISO code of CCMT060204GK and an industry standard number of CCMT2151GKCA6525. The screw-clamping holding method suits standard CCMT-compatible toolholders. Maximum depth of cut is 0.0833 inch.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for CCMT-style toolholders accepting a 1/4-inch inscribed circle, 3/32-inch thick diamond insert with a 0.1102-inch hole diameter and screw-clamp retention. Compatible with CCMT060204 series toolholders per ISO and ANSI standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and manufacturer-specified clamp screw to seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket; improper seating can cause insert fracture or poor surface finish. Inspect the toolholder pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage before installing a new insert.
