The KYOCERA TCV02007 is a ceramic turning insert manufactured to DNGA432T00825 geometry with a PT600M grade designation. It is constructed from an Al2O3 TiC ceramic composite applied via PVD coating (Megacoat process), delivering the hardness and thermal resistance required for interrupted and continuous cuts in hard and abrasive workpiece materials. The insert features a 55-degree diamond shape, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a 3/16-inch thickness, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. With four usable cutting edges and a neutral hand orientation, it is suited to high-speed finishing and semi-finishing operations on CNC turning centers. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists are the primary users of this insert.
This insert is designed for external turning, boring, and copying applications. Its primary workpiece material classification is hard materials (ISO code H), with cast iron (ISO code K) as a secondary application. The chamfered cutting edge style and negative rake geometry make it appropriate for rigid setups where tool pressure and edge stability are priorities. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician.
