The KYOCERA TCS60815 is a ceramic turning insert in the CNGA style, designed for high-speed machining of hard and difficult-to-cut materials. It carries the industry standard designation CNGA431T00625 and the manufacturer grade A66N. The insert features an Al2O3, TiC, and TiN PVD coating applied over a ceramic substrate, providing thermal stability and wear resistance during demanding turning operations. The 80-degree diamond shape and negative rake geometry deliver strong cutting edge support, making this insert well suited for intermittent and continuous cuts on hardened workpieces. It provides four usable cutting edges per insert and is manufactured to ANSI and ISO standards.
This insert is intended for hard material turning applications including external turning, boring, internal facing, chamfering, and facing. The ISOI series and CNGA insert style make it a direct fit in compatible toolholders with clamp and pin holding. Primary and secondary workpiece material classifications are both H-grade hard materials, such as hardened steels and hard cast iron. The maximum depth of cut is 0.1667 inches, making it appropriate for finish and semi-finish passes on hardened components in production machining environments. This insert is typically installed and managed by machinists and CNC tooling specialists in shop environments.

Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine powered down and locked out per facility safety procedures. Do not exceed the rated maximum depth of cut for this insert geometry.
