The KYOCERA 8813077 is a round ceramic turning insert designed for high-speed machining of cast iron and hard materials. It carries the RCGX insert style with a neutral hand orientation and an A65 manufacturer grade. The insert features an Al2O3 and TiC ceramic composition that is applied uncoated, making it well suited for dry or minimally lubricated cutting operations. With a 0.25 inch inscribed circle, a 0.18 inch thickness, and a 1/8 inch corner radius, it delivers consistent cutting geometry across four usable edges. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists install this insert into compatible RCGX-style clamp-type toolholders for demanding finish and semi-finish operations.
This insert is engineered for external turning, facing, roll machining, and undercutting applications. It performs best on cast iron and hard workpiece materials corresponding to ISO material grades K01, K10, H01, and H10. The round insert shape and full-radius geometry make it particularly effective for profiling passes and contour work where a continuous cutting edge is required. It conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards, fitting into ISOI-series tooling systems used in production and job-shop environments alike.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for RCGX-style clamp-type toolholders conforming to ANSI and ISO ISOI-series standards. Compatible with external turning, facing, roll machining, and undercutting operations on cast iron and hard workpiece materials at ISO material grades K01, K10, H01, and H10.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the correct clamp and shim components specified for RCGX-style toolholders to ensure proper insert retention and edge alignment. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp for wear or debris before each insert change to avoid premature edge failure.
