Kramer Electronics 97-0142050 Active Hdmi Cable 50 Feet

Product Description

The KRAMER ELECTRONICS 97-0142050 is an active HDMI cable with Ethernet designed for AV signal processing applications. Active HDMI cables use built-in signal amplification to extend transmission distances beyond the limits of standard passive cables. This cable carries high-definition video and audio signals while also supporting the HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC) for network data sharing between connected devices. It is typically installed by AV technicians, systems integrators, and electricians working on commercial or residential AV distribution systems where longer cable runs are required.

This cable is suited for fixed installations where source devices and displays are separated by distances that passive cables cannot reliably cover. Common applications include conference rooms, digital signage installations, home theater systems, and education or hospitality AV setups. The 50-foot length accommodates runs between wall plates, AV racks, and ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted displays without the need for an external signal booster or repeater.

Key Features

• Active signal amplification supports extended 50-foot runs without external boosters
• Integrated Ethernet channel allows network data to share the cable alongside AV signals
• Designed for AV signal processing accessory applications
• Sold individually as a single unit

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style active HDMI cable replacement or new installation cable for AV systems requiring extended HDMI signal runs with Ethernet channel support.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by licensed AV technicians or electricians familiar with HDMI signal routing and low-voltage wiring practices. Power down or place source and display devices in standby before connecting or disconnecting HDMI cables. Active HDMI cables are directional - confirm the source end and display end are connected correctly before powering up the system. Local low-voltage wiring codes may apply for in-wall or plenum cable runs.
