Product Description

The Knipex 9511200SBA is an 8-inch cable shear designed for cutting copper and aluminum cables. This tool is not suitable for steel wire or hard drawn copper conductors. The shear features precision ground, hardened blades that provide a clean cut without crushing or deforming the cable. The cutting process is divided into two actions: the initial cut of the insulating sheath at the front and the final cut of the conductor at the back. It can cut cables up to twenty-five thirty-seconds of an inch in diameter with one hand operation.

Key features include a favorable lever ratio and optimized cutting edge geometry that reduces the effort needed for cutting. Additionally, a pinch guard is installed to prevent finger pinching. The adjustable bolted joint ensures the shear remains self-locking during use. Made of high-grade special tool steel, it is forged and oil-hardened for durability.
