Product Description

The Klein Tools NCVT-5A is a dual-range non-contact voltage tester pen with an integrated laser pointer for detecting AC voltage without contact. It detects AC voltage in Mode 1 (approximately 70 to 1000 VAC) or Mode 2 (approximately 12 to 1000 VAC) and provides simultaneous visual and audible indication; audible alerts increase with higher voltage or closer proximity. The tester is battery powered (2 x AAA), CAT IV 1000 V rated, and measures about 6 inches long.

  • Dual-range non-contact AC voltage detection: 12 to 1000 VAC (Mode 2) and 70 to 1000 VAC (Mode 1)
  • Integrated Class IIIa laser pointer (630–670 nm, <5 mW) that can operate independently or with voltage detection; visual and audible indicators
  • Battery powered (2 x AAA) with auto power-off, approximately 6 in length, and 3 m (9.8 ft) drop protection
