The KILLARK Y-1M is a capped-type explosionproof conduit elbow designed for use in hazardous locations where a sealed, durable conduit fitting is required. Constructed from iron with a Duraloy finish, this 90-degree elbow is threaded for 1/2-inch trade size rigid or IMC conduit. The capped design seals the elbow end to contain potential ignition sources and prevent the passage of flame or explosion in classified areas. Smooth integral bushings are built into the fitting to protect wire insulation during pull-through. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance professionals install this fitting in locations classified under NEC Article 500 for explosive atmospheres.
