The KILLARK ENY-2-T is a hub-type explosionproof conduit sealing fitting designed for use in Class I and Class II hazardous locations. It accepts 3/4-inch trade-size conduit via male and female connections and mounts in horizontal or vertical positions. The body is constructed from electrostatically applied powder-coated copper-free aluminum, providing corrosion resistance suitable for demanding industrial environments. Its primary function is to minimize the passage of gases and vapors and to prevent the propagation of flames from one section of an electrical installation to another through the conduit system. UL and CSA listed. The turning radius measures 1-9/32 inches and overall height is 4-1/16 inches.
This fitting is applied in hazardous location wiring systems where sealing is required by the NEC to isolate enclosures or conduit runs. It is suited for Class I Division 1 and 2 (Groups A, B, C, D), Class I Zone 1 (Groups IIA, IIB, IIC), Class II Division 1 and 2 (Groups E, F, G), and Class III locations. Typical applications include petrochemical facilities, grain handling, paint spray areas, and other environments where ignitable vapors, gases, or combustible dusts may be present. Where a raceway connects a dust-ignitionproof enclosure to a non-dust-ignitionproof enclosure, this fitting provides suitable means to prevent dust ingress per NEC requirements. Licensed electricians familiar with hazardous location wiring perform this installation.
Rated for Class I Division 1 and 2 Group A B C D, Class I Zone 1 Group IIA IIB IIC, Class II Division 1 and 2 Group E F G, and Class III hazardous locations. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation sealing fitting for 3/4-inch conduit systems in compliant hazardous location electrical installations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 501 (Class I), Article 502 (Class II), and Article 503 (Class III) requirements for hazardous location sealing. De-energize all circuits and verify the absence of voltage before beginning conduit or fitting work. Sealing compound must be applied per NEC requirements after the fitting is installed and wiring is completed; do not use sealing compound not rated for the fitting. Consult the applicable authority having jurisdiction before installation in classified areas.
