The KEYSTONE THREADED PRODUCTS KL012AG1F182850 is a 6-foot ACME threaded rod machined from C1018 low-carbon steel with a left-hand thread orientation. It features a 3/4-6 thread size - meaning 3/4-inch nominal diameter and 6 threads per inch - cut to the General Purpose ACME standard at a 2G fit class. An oil finish protects the rod from surface corrosion during storage and installation. Left-hand ACME thread configuration makes this rod the correct choice for applications where standard right-hand threading would loosen under operating loads or rotational direction, such as certain linear actuators, feed screws, and clamping mechanisms used in mechanical and industrial trade work.
This threaded rod is suited for mechanical power transmission and linear motion applications requiring the trapezoidal ACME thread form. Typical uses include lead screws, jack screws, vises, and positioning assemblies in light industrial, mechanical service, and fabrication environments. The 2G fit class provides a general-purpose clearance fit appropriate for most standard ACME power-transmission assemblies. The 6-foot length allows field cutting to required lengths with appropriate metal-cutting tools.
Designed for use in General Purpose ACME 2G left-hand threaded assemblies requiring a 3/4-6 thread size, including lead screws, jack screws, and linear positioning mechanisms. Compatible mating components must be specified as 3/4-6 ACME 2G left-hand thread.
Installation is typically performed by machinists, millwrights, or mechanical contractors working with linear motion or structural assemblies. Verify that all mating nuts, flanges, and drive components are rated for left-hand 3/4-6 ACME 2G thread before assembly. Use appropriate metal-cutting equipment and thread gauges when cutting or verifying the rod. Wear appropriate PPE when cutting or handling machined steel rod ends.
