The KEO 919-000-323 is a single-end, straight-shank countersink designed for deburring, chamfering, and countersinking operations in metal fabrication and machining applications. Built from high-speed steel, this tool features a 1-1/2 inch head diameter and a 60-degree included angle with a corresponding 30-degree centerline angle, making it well-suited for standard fastener seat preparation. The 6-flute design promotes smoother cutting action and improved finish quality compared to fewer-flute alternatives. The 3/4 inch straight cylindrical shank and 1-1/4 inch shank length provide solid tool-holder engagement. No pilot is included. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians will find this a reliable general-purpose countersink for production and maintenance work.
This countersink is intended for use in drill presses, milling machines, or hand-held drilling equipment where a rigid straight-shank setup is appropriate. It is suited to right-hand cutting operations on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials typically encountered in metalworking and manufacturing environments. The 60-degree angle is a common specification for machine screw and bolt countersinking in production shop and MRO settings.
Designed as a straight-shank countersink compatible with drill chucks, milling machine collets, and toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight cylindrical shank.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with rotary cutting tools. Secure the shank firmly in an appropriate chuck or collet before operation and verify that spindle speed is set to a rate appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter. Always power down and bring the spindle to a complete stop before making any tool changes or adjustments. Eye protection and proper chip management practices are required when operating countersinks.
