The KEO 919-000-280 is a single-end countersink designed for deburring, chamfering, and seat preparation in metal fabrication and machining applications. Built from cobalt steel, this tool handles harder workpiece materials where high-speed steel falls short. It features a 1-1/4 inch head diameter, an 82-degree included angle, and 3 flutes for controlled chip evacuation and a clean finish. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1/2 inch in diameter, making it compatible with standard drill press chucks and milling machine collets. At 1-3/4 inches overall length, it is compact enough for close-tolerance work while providing sufficient reach for most sheet metal and structural applications.
This countersink is suited for use in machine shops, fabrication facilities, and maintenance environments where countersunk fastener holes are required in cobalt-grade or alloy steel workpieces. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual milling setups. The right-hand cut direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers and users of this tool.
Designed as an OEM-style single-end countersink for use in standard 1/2 inch drill press chucks, collet holders, and milling machine spindles requiring a straight cylindrical shank.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists and fabricators using standard drill press or milling machine setups. Secure the shank firmly in a properly sized chuck or collet before operation and verify spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter. Never exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and remove the tool from service if damage is observed.
