The KEO 919-000-238 is a single-end cobalt steel countersink designed for countersinking and deburring operations in light-duty machining applications. It features a 3/8-inch head diameter and a 100-degree included angle, making it suited for standard flat-head fastener seat preparation. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/4 inch in diameter and mounts in standard drill chucks or collet holders. Cobalt steel construction provides improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard high-speed steel, extending tool life in moderate-duty use. Right-hand cutting direction is compatible with conventional CNC and manual drill press setups. No pilot is included.
This countersink is intended for use on aluminum, non-metallic materials, and plastics. It handles a cutting diameter range of 9/64 inch minimum to 11/32 inch maximum, covering common screw sizes in that range. Typical installations include machine shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments where lightweight or soft materials require clean, consistent countersink profiles. It is a single-end tool without a built-in pilot, so it relies on operator control or a drill press fixture for centering accuracy.
Designed as a general-purpose countersink for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand drills equipped with a standard 1/4-inch straight-shank chuck or collet. Suited for countersinking and deburring operations in aluminum, plastic, and non-metallic materials.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using standard drill press or CNC equipment. Secure the 1/4-inch straight shank firmly in the chuck or collet before operation. Always set spindle speed appropriate for the material being cut and the tool diameter. Ensure the workpiece is clamped securely to prevent movement during countersinking.
