The KEO 917-000-037 is a single-end, three-flute countersink designed for producing clean, accurate conical recesses in metal workpieces. Built from high-speed steel, it features a 3/4 inch head diameter and a 100-degree included angle, making it suitable for a wide range of fastener-seating and deburring applications. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1/2 inch in diameter and 1-1/4 inches in length, providing solid grip in standard drill press or hand-drill chuck setups. Right-hand cut geometry removes material efficiently on conventional clockwise rotation. Machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians rely on this countersink for production and repair work in metal fabrication environments.
This countersink is suited for use in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance settings where precise fastener-seat preparation is required. The 100-degree included angle accommodates flat-head fasteners and deburring tasks on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It does not include a pilot, so proper center-punching or pre-drilled hole alignment is necessary before use. The 1/2 inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders commonly found on drill presses, milling machines, and CNC machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style countersink for use in standard 1/2 inch drill chucks, collet holders, and similar toolholding systems on drill presses, milling machines, and machining centers.
Installation and use of this countersink should be performed by a qualified machinist or trained technician familiar with rotary cutting tools. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and power is off before mounting or removing the tool from the chuck or collet. No pilot is included, so the workpiece should be center-punched or pre-drilled to ensure proper alignment before countersinking. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed selection based on material type.
