The KEO 917-000-021 is a single-end countersink designed for creating accurately angled seat profiles in metal and other workpiece materials. It features a 1/2 inch head diameter and an 82-degree included angle, making it suited for standard flat-head fastener seating applications. The 3-flute geometry provides a balance of cutting speed and surface finish quality. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS), this tool delivers reliable performance across a range of common machining operations. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/4 inch in diameter, compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. Right-hand cutting direction means it runs in conventional clockwise rotation.
This countersink is used in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance shops for preparing holes to accept flat-head screws and bolts with an 82-degree head angle. It is well suited for bench drill press work, CNC operations, and handheld drill applications where a clean, consistent countersink profile is required. The 1/4 inch shank fits readily into standard drill press chucks and hand drill chucks found in most trade and shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style countersink for use in standard drill presses, machining centers, and handheld drills accepting a 1/4 inch straight shank. Suitable for countersinking operations requiring an 82-degree included angle seat profile.
This tool is installed by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians using standard drill press or CNC equipment. Secure the 1/4 inch shank firmly in the chuck or collet before operation and verify the spindle is at a full stop before making any adjustments. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve finish quality. Follow shop safety procedures and applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements when operating rotary cutting tools.
