The KEO 906-000-388 is a metric combo drill countersink made from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish. It combines a drill point and countersink into a single tool, allowing the operator to drill and chamfer a hole in one pass. The 120-degree drill point angle and 60-degree included angle are suited for creating countersunk seats in metal workpieces. With a double-end configuration, the tool offers extended service life before replacement. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and CNC applications. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tool type.
This combo drill countersink is designed for metric countersinking applications in production machining, fabrication shops, and maintenance environments. The double-end style maximizes tool life in high-cycle operations. The radius cutting edge style produces a smooth countersink profile suitable for fastener seating in steel, aluminum, and similar materials. It is not configured for aircraft-style countersinking and is not a long-length tool, making it appropriate for standard-depth applications on conventional machining equipment.
Designed as a standard metric combo drill countersink for use in conventional drill presses, lathes, and CNC machining centers requiring a right-hand, double-end countersinking tool in high-speed steel.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with proper tool holding and speeds-and-feeds selection for HSS tooling. Secure the tool firmly in a compatible chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before cutting. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve finish quality. Inspect both ends for wear before each use, as the double-end design allows the tool to be flipped when one end is dulled.
