The KEO 906-000-263 is a combination drill and countersink designed for drilling and countersinking in a single pass. Built from cobalt high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tool handles harder workpiece materials where standard HSS tooling falls short. It carries a trade size of 17, a 5/8 inch body diameter, and a 7/32 inch drill point diameter. The 118-degree drill point angle and 60-degree included angle on the bell countersink produce clean, accurate seat geometry. Overall length is 3.25 inches. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and metalworking tradespeople use this tool in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and manual lathes.
This combo drill countersink is suited for metalworking applications requiring countersunk fastener seats in steel, stainless, and other hard alloys. The cobalt construction makes it a practical choice in aerospace-adjacent and industrial fabrication environments where workpiece hardness exceeds what standard M2 HSS tooling can efficiently handle. Right-hand cutting direction is compatible with conventional spindle rotation. The bell-style cutting edge and double end type allow the tool to be flipped and used from both ends, extending service life before regrind or replacement is needed.
Designed for use in standard drill press chucks, CNC machining center toolholders, and manual machine spindles accepting 5/8 inch body diameter combination drill countersink tooling.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists or metalworking tradespeople familiar with proper speeds, feeds, and workholding practices. Secure the workpiece firmly before operation to prevent movement during drilling. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle completely before changing or inspecting tooling. Follow the machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when selecting cutting parameters for cobalt tooling.
