The KENNAMETAL 7033332 is a solid carbide milling insert in the HNPJ series, designed for high-performance milling of steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It carries the KCPM40 manufacturer grade with a TiAlN and AlCrN PVD multilayer coating for wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. The hexagon insert shape provides 12 cutting edges per insert, reducing cost per edge on demanding applications. Key dimensional specs include a 12.00 mm inscribed circle, 4.70 mm thickness, and a 1.00 mm corner radius. The negative rake geometry and honed cutting edge style support stable cutting action in difficult-to-machine materials.
This insert is intended for use in milling applications targeting steel and stainless steel workpieces, as well as superalloys and titanium in both roughing and semi-finishing operations. It is sized to the HNPJ insert style with an ISO code of HNPJ0604ANERLP and an ANSI code of HNPJ43ANERLP. The LP chip breaker geometry is optimized for the material groups listed. The insert is compatible with the Kennametal Dodeka cutter series and is held in place by a screw-type clamping method. Right-hand cutting orientation is standard for this part. Machinists and CNC operators in aerospace, oil and gas, and general machining environments are the primary users.
Designed for use in the Kennametal Dodeka cutter series. Insert style is HNPJ with ISO designation HNPJ0604ANERLP and ANSI designation HNPJ43ANERLP. Meets ANSI and ISO standards for indexable milling inserts.
This insert is installed and indexed by a licensed machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the cutter body is fully de-energized and the spindle is locked before changing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key to tighten the insert screw to the cutter body manufacturer's specified torque — do not over-tighten or substitute fasteners. Inspect the pocket seating surface and chip clearance channels for debris before seating a new insert.
