The KENNAMETAL 6769609 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built on the H1TE series platform and finished with an AlTiN PVD coating, this tool handles roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. It features a 3.00 mm diameter, a 6.00 mm length of cut, and a 4-flute variable-helix geometry that reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation. The 0.10 mm chamfer width at a 45-degree chamfer angle produces consistent edge breaks with each pass. Machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments install this tool on standard milling machines and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for slotting, shouldering, ramp-down milling, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing operations. It is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H. The straight-cylindrical 6.00 mm shank fits standard collet and end mill holder tooling. Its centercutting capability and variable-index flute spacing make it a versatile option for both roughing passes and finishing work without a tool change.
Designed for use in milling applications involving steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Fits toolholders accepting a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Referenced under catalog number H1TE4CH0300S006HAM in the KENNAMETAL H1TE series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer's specification — do not improvise clamping force. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
