The KENNAMETAL 6767727 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built to the KOR6 series specification, it features a 0.5 inch diameter, 6 flutes with a close pitch, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that extends tool life and reduces edge chipping on hard materials. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and surface hardness, making this tool effective in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. At 5 inches overall length with a 2.5 inch length of cut, it is suited for extended-reach finishing operations run on CNC machining centers by skilled machinists and toolroom operators.
This end mill is engineered for finishing applications on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its extra-long length type and single-end, centercutting geometry allow plunge entry and lateral passes in deep-pocket and contour finishing work. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional CNC milling spindles. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive retention in side-lock tool holders. Compatible tool holder systems noted in product data include EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A configurations.
Compatible tool holder systems listed in product data include EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A. Intended for use in CNC machining centers with right-hand spindle rotation. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard CNC tooling setup procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into a compatible side-lock or set-screw holder and torque the retention screw to the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning any cut, as excessive runout on a 6-flute finisher will cause uneven flute loading and premature tool wear.
