The KENNAMETAL 6767707 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built on the KOR6 platform, it features a 0.5-inch diameter, six flutes, and a 0.0300-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge during finishing passes. The AlTiN PVD coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened and abrasive materials. With a 2.5-inch length of cut and 5-inch overall length, this extra-long configuration is suited for deep-cavity and deep-wall milling operations performed by machinists and toolroom professionals on CNC machining centers.
This end mill is engineered for finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry, combined with a close pitch and 38-degree helix, support efficient chip evacuation in tight flute geometries. The Safe-Lock shank type is designed for use with hydraulic toolholding systems, specifically HC 1/2 to HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M to HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholders. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry where the operation requires it.
Designed for use with HC 1/2 to HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M to HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholding systems. Intended for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician on a CNC machining center. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the Safe-Lock shank fully in the hydraulic toolholder and torque the clamping mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, particularly given the extra-long reach of this tool.
