The KENNAMETAL 6676994 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built to the H1TE series standard, this single-end tool features a 0.25 inch mill diameter, a 0.75 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.0150 inch chamfer width. The variable helix and variable index flute geometry - running at a 36 to 39 degree helix - reduce harmonic vibration and improve chip evacuation. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. Machinists and CNC operators use this tool for shouldering, slotting, ramp-down passes, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging operations.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its centercutting capability allows direct plunging without a pilot hole, making it versatile across roughing and finishing operations. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. The straight cylindrical shank seats directly into standard collet chucks or end mill holders with a 0.25 inch bore. It is a practical choice for job shops and production environments running ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills using standard 0.25 inch straight cylindrical collet or end mill holder systems. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H). Part of the KENNAMETAL H1TE series; catalog number H1TE4CH0250L075HA.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as excess runout will accelerate wear on a solid carbide tool.
