The KENNAMETAL 6676507 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 0.5-inch mill diameter with a 0.03-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and improves surface finish on finished workpiece profiles. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. AlTiN PVD coating provides heat resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting temperatures. The H1TE series construction uses submicron carbide grade material, making it well suited for aggressive material removal in ferrous and high-hardness workpiece materials. Installation and setup is performed by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is intended for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece as well as perform conventional peripheral and slot milling passes. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive engagement in standard end mill holders and reduces pullout risk under high feed loads. The H1TE series is compatible with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding systems as noted by the manufacturer.
Compatible with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding systems per manufacturer documentation. Intended for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials corresponding to material codes P, M, K, S, and H.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the controller is in an E-stop or program-hold state before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the Weldon flat fully against the set screw in the holder and torque the side-lock screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the first cut, and confirm the programmed corner radius offset matches the 0.03-inch radius of this tool.
