The KENNAMETAL 6676502 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 0.5-inch mill diameter, a 1.25-inch length of cut, and a 0.015-inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life in interrupted cuts. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and oxidation protection, making this end mill well suited to high-temperature cutting conditions. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is built for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its 3.25-inch overall length and 0.5-inch Weldon flat shank provide secure tool holding in standard ER collet chucks and Weldon-style holders. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, and the normal-pitch flute spacing is suited to general-purpose material removal. It is a single-end tool from the H1TE series and carries a submicron carbide grade substrate for edge stability in tough alloys.
Compatible with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A tooling systems as specified by the manufacturer. Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 0.5-inch Weldon flat shank tool holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an energy-isolated state before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the Weldon flat fully against the set screw in the holder and torque the set screw according to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, particularly when machining superalloys or hardened materials where edge loading is critical.
