The KENNAMETAL 6676484 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It carries a 3/8 inch diameter, a 0.09 inch corner radius, and an AlTiN PVD coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-heat cutting environments. With four right-hand spiral flutes and a 36-degree helix angle, it is engineered for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive retention in standard milling chucks and holders. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production machining, and aerospace or industrial fabrication environments.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is a centercutting, single-end design, allowing plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling operations. The 0.88 inch length of cut and 2.5 inch overall length make it a standard-reach tool for slot milling, profile milling, and contouring on vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is part of the Kennametal H1TE series, which targets submicron carbide grade performance across the P, M, K, S, and H workpiece material categories.
Compatible with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding systems as specified by the manufacturer. Designed as an OEM-specification tool within the Kennametal H1TE series for use on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers accepting a 3/8 inch shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the holder and torque the set screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, and confirm feeds and speeds are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
