The KENNAMETAL 6676461 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 0.75-inch diameter, a 2.25-inch length of cut, and a 0.06-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The 4-flute geometry with a 36-degree helix angle and right-hand cutting direction promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness for cutting in abrasive and heat-generating materials. This end mill is centercutting, enabling direct plunge entry, and is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 6676461 is suited for roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its H1TE series designation identifies it within the KENNAMETAL performance end mill line targeted at difficult-to-machine workpiece materials. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard collet chucks and is also compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves in inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholders.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is disabled before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Clean the shank and bore contact surfaces before clamping to maintain runout tolerance. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications and confirm tool projection length is appropriate for the intended cut depth before running the program.
