The KENNAMETAL 6525754 is a solid carbide milling insert in the LNGQ series, designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding milling applications. Manufactured to grade KCPM40 and coated with TiAlN and AlCrN via a PVD process, this rectangular insert delivers thermal resistance and edge durability when cutting steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The insert measures 0.527 inches inscribed circle diameter and 0.25 inches thick, features a positive rake geometry, a honed cutting edge, and 4 usable cutting edges per insert. It is screw-held and right-hand oriented, making it a direct fit for compatible indexable milling toolholders.
This insert is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and general-purpose indexable milling operations in CNC machining environments. It is cataloged under ANSI and ISO code LNGQ120608ERGEKT4 and is compatible with the Kennametal Mill 4-12 cutter series. Installation is performed by a CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Before indexing or replacing inserts, ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out per shop safety procedures. Use the manufacturer-specified torque wrench and clamping screw for the toolholder to seat the insert securely without cracking the carbide substrate. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
