The KENNAMETAL 6350411 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding materials. Built to a 140-degree split-point geometry, this drill reduces walking and lowers thrust force on entry, making it well suited for hard and work-hardening workpiece materials. The AlTiN coating provides high-temperature oxidation resistance, extending tool life in dry or minimum-quantity lubrication (MQL) cutting conditions. At 3.2283 inches overall length with a 1.7323-inch flute length, the 6350411 fits standard toolholding in CNC machining centers and drill presses. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and production floor technicians are the primary users of this drill.
This drill is rated for stainless steel and high-temperature alloys, two material families that demand rigid setups and sharp, wear-resistant cutting edges. The two-flute spiral design facilitates chip evacuation in deep-hole applications up to 1.3780 inches (35 mm) drilling depth. Coolant-through capability supports internal coolant delivery when paired with a compatible toolholder, improving chip flushing and thermal management during extended runs. The straight cylindrical shank diameter of 6 mm seats directly in standard collet chucks and hydraulic toolholders without requiring adapters in most setups.
Designed for drilling stainless steel and high-temperature alloys. Fits toolholders and collet chucks accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and other rigid machine tool setups configured for coolant-through or dry cutting operations.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide cutting tools. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are fully powered down and secured before loading or removing the drill. Carbide is brittle and susceptible to chipping from interrupted cuts, side loading, or excessive runout - verify toolholder TIR is within acceptable limits before use. When using coolant-through capability, confirm that coolant pressure and flow rate are compatible with the machine spindle and toolholder assembly.
