The KENNAMETAL 6131514 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for indexable milling operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Graded KC725M with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability in demanding cutting environments. The rectangular LNGU insert style features a positive rake geometry, a honed cutting edge, and a GE chip breaker configuration. It measures 0.4790 inches in length, 0.2598 inches in width, and 0.1875 inches thick, with a corner radius of 0.0160 inches. Four cutting edges are available per insert, maximizing tool life per unit. Installation is by screw-holding method. The insert carries ANSI code LNGU431ERGE and ISO code LNGU110404ERGE.
This insert is suited for right-hand milling applications in both roughing and finishing passes on steel and high-temperature alloy workpieces. The PVD TiAlN coating supports higher cutting speeds while controlling built-up edge on stainless and superalloy materials. It is compatible with the Kennametal Mill 4-11 cutter series and is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units. Machinists and tool-room technicians working in production or job-shop environments will find this insert sized for small-diameter milling cutters handling precision slot, shoulder, and face milling tasks.
Compatible with the Kennametal Mill 4-11 cutter series. Designed for use in indexable milling toolholders accepting LNGU-style inserts per ANSI and ISO standards. Minimum order quantity is 10 inserts.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Disengage the machine spindle and lock out power before indexing or replacing inserts. Secure the insert with the appropriate torx or hex screw driver as specified by the cutter body manufacturer, and verify seating before resuming cuts. Inspect the cutter pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage each time inserts are indexed.
