The KENNAMETAL 6123756 is a replaceable-tip drill body designed for precision hole-making across a diameter range of 33.34 mm to 36 mm, with a maximum drilling depth of 166.7 mm. Part of the KSEM series, this tool features a 1-1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank and an overall length of 317.55 mm. It is engineered for use with KSEM3334HPGM inserts seated at insert seat size 9. Through-coolant capability via a 6 mm coolant hole supports chip evacuation and thermal management during high-performance drilling operations. The body is constructed from steel. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling specialists in production and job-shop environments.
The 6123756 is suited for metalworking applications requiring consistent, repeatable large-diameter hole production. Its 5xD depth-to-diameter ratio makes it appropriate for moderate-depth bores in steel, cast iron, and similar materials. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard toolholders accepting a 1-1/2 inch bore. The replaceable-tip design reduces downtime by allowing insert changes without removing the drill body from the machine, making it well-suited for high-volume production runs where cycle time matters.
Designed for use with KSEM3334HPGM inserts at insert seat size 9. The 1-1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard toolholders accepting that bore diameter. Part of the KSEM toolholder series.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all energy is locked out before mounting or changing the drill body or insert tip. Verify that the toolholder bore matches the 1-1/2 inch shank diameter and that the tool is secured to the recommended clamping torque per the machine or toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm coolant passages are clear and through-coolant pressure is set per the machining center requirements before beginning a drilling cycle.
