The KENNAMETAL 6114055 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal and finishing operations in demanding machining environments. Built on the UJDE series platform, this single-end, centercutting tool features a 1-1/4 inch mill and shank diameter, six flutes with a right-hand spiral and right-hand cutting direction, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and improves surface finish at workpiece corners. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting at elevated temperatures. At 4.385 pounds, this is a substantial extra-long tool suited to deep-cavity and extended-reach applications.
This end mill is designed for finishing passes in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The extra-long 6 inch length of cut and 9 inch overall length make it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, tall-wall profiling, and applications where standard-length tools cannot reach. The Safe-Lock shank interface provides pull-out resistance in high-torque and high-feed scenarios. Compatible toolholders specified by the manufacturer include HC-HSK Form A, Hydraulic Chuck Standard Line Inch KM63XMZ, HC-CV Form AD, HC-CV Form AD Hydraulic Chuck Standard Line, and HPMC High Performance Milling Chucks-CV Form B/AD.
Compatible toolholders include HC-HSK Form A, Hydraulic Chuck Standard Line Inch KM63XMZ, HC-CV Form AD, HC-CV Form AD Hydraulic Chuck Standard Line, and HPMC High Performance Milling Chucks-CV Form B/AD. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the Safe-Lock shank in the appropriate compatible toolholder to the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure before use. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning cutting operations. Do not use this tool in toolholders that do not support the Safe-Lock interface, as improper clamping can result in tool pullout and workpiece or machine damage.
