The KENNAMETAL 6113139 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding materials. Built to the UJDE series standard, this single-end, centercutting tool features a 0.5-inch mill diameter, six flutes, and a 0.12-inch corner radius that produces consistent edge blending and reduces stress concentrations at part corners. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. With an extra-long 4.5-inch overall length and 2.5-inch length of cut, it reaches deep pockets and tall-wall features that standard-length end mills cannot access. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is engineered for finishing passes in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The close-pitch, six-flute configuration supports high feed rates during finishing while the right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry suit standard CNC machining center spindle rotation. The straight cylindrical shank is compatible with standard end mill toolholders. The submicron carbide grade and high helix style contribute to smooth surface finishes and stable tool life in difficult-to-machine workpiece materials including hardened steels and nickel-based superalloys.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. The 0.5-inch straight cylindrical shank fits collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, and shrink-fit holders bored to 0.5 inches. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per material codes P, M, S, and H.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by qualified CNC operators or machinists with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the end mill. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating cuts, as runout in excess of acceptable tolerances will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish. Coolant-through is not supported by this tool; direct external coolant or air blast to the cutting zone as required by the application.
