The KENNAMETAL 6113109 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding material applications. Built to KENNAMETAL UJDE series specifications, this single-end, centercutting tool features a 0.5-inch mill diameter, 0.09-inch corner radius, and six flutes with a high helix angle of 38 degrees. The AlTiN PVD coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting abrasive or hard materials. At 4 inches overall length with a 2-inch length of cut, this long-series tool is suited for reaching deeper features while maintaining rigidity. Licensed machinists and CNC toolroom technicians are the primary installers of this tooling.
This end mill is engineered for finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The close pitch, right-hand flute direction, and right-hand cutting direction make it appropriate for conventional CNC milling centers running aggressive finishing programs. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard end mill toolholders. Its centercutting geometry supports both peripheral and plunge milling where finishing tolerances and surface finish quality are critical. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant or air blast delivery should be planned at setup.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders accepting a 0.5-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as specified by KENNAMETAL material application codes P, M, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician following the toolholder manufacturer torque and runout specifications. Confirm shank seating depth and total indicator runout before beginning any cut. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. No coolant-through path is present on this tool, so plan external coolant or air blast delivery before beginning the operation.
